The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and certified Crane Operator to join our team in Wellington. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various types of cranes safely and competently, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

About the Role

Safely operate cranes as directed by site leadership.
Perform daily safety inspections and maintain equipment in top condition.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a safe work environment.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the development of work plans.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in planning and executing construction projects to meet targets.

What you’ll bring

Certified to operate cranes and hold a full NZ driver license
Minimum 5 years of crane operation experience in civil construction
Experience in crawler, rough terrain and all terrain cranes ideally
Experience with various crane disciplines such as vibro hammers, drop hammers, sheet piling, driven piling is desirable
Strong commitment to health and safety practices
Good literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and in physically demanding environments
