Description

Who We Are

Stramit is “Australia’s leading vertically integrated steel manufacturer and total steel building material solutions provider” Part of the Fletcher Building Group employing 13,500 people across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. Our connected purpose is focused on ‘improving the world around us through smart thinking, simply delivered’ providing our customers real value.

About the position:

We’re looking for a motivated team player to support our credit operations across the Stramit business. This newly created role is ideal for someone early in their career — perhaps a recent graduate or someone with a background in admin, finance support, or data coordination — who’s ready to grow their skills in a supportive environment.

You’ll be part of a close-knit Credit team that values accuracy, communication, and continuous improvement. The work is fast-paced but structured, with clear processes and plenty of opportunities to learn. Reporting to the Assistant Credit Manager, you’ll work alongside five experienced Credit Officers to help manage credit risk compliance, master data accuracy, and the onboarding of new accounts.

This is a full-time opportunity, open to being based at our Crestmead (QLD) site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collating credit reports and supporting documentation for new customer accounts
  • Assisting with credit risk compliance and internal controls
  • Maintaining and updating master data across systems
  • Communicating with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and timely processing
  • Supporting reporting and improvement initiatives across the Credit team
  • Following safety procedures and contributing to a positive team culture
To be considered for this role, we’re looking for…

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to admin tasks
  • Confidence using Excel and other systems to manage data
  • Great communication skills — written and verbal
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Experience in a high-volume admin, finance support, or customer service role is helpful but not essential
Most important part… why work with us? What's in it for you?!

No matter who you are, if you have the drive and commitment to make a difference, you’ll have a bright future with us. Whether in the factory, on the road, or in the office, you’ll be working with the best in the industry. You’ll be part of a supportive team continually finding better ways to do things – all aimed at making it easier for our customers to get the job done.

We are proud to offer:

  • Parental Leave policy. Primary carers receive full base pay for 26 weeks or receive 50% of full pay over 52 weeks. Secondary carers receive 4 weeks of full pay
  • 5 additional leave days ‘New Parent Leave’ for primary and secondary carers during their first year back at work
  • Strong Inclusion and diversity commitment to our team members including Gender affirmation leave (10 days), LGBTQ+ Rainbow Tick accreditation.
