About the Role
As a successful Customer Service Representative, you'll be part of our talented team, delivering outstanding service and support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-day will involve handling inbound calls from Laminex’s Christchurch and wider South Island customer base, providing accurate information on products and services, and assisting with a variety of enquiries. You'll also support regional sales branches, contribute to cross-selling efforts, and offer phone-based sales support to our Sales Representatives. Accuracy is key, as you'll be responsible for processing orders and credits efficiently and correctly.

This position plays a pivotal part in our organisation and as such you will need to:

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and thrive in providing a customer service experience that is second to none.
  • Your ability to confidently liaise with customers over phone, email and face to face with the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when entering data onto the system.
  • Ability to pick up, grasp and understand technical information, as you will be dealing with a wide range of questions relating to variety of product offerings.
  • Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong problem-solving skills.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a:
  • Strong team player with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • At least 2+ previous years of experience in a customer service/sales support role or operational/logistics role preferably within the building materials industry
  • Confident engaging with people both over the phone and in person, with the ability to influence and build strong rapport.
  • Computer savvy with previous experience with Salesforce advantageous.
