Customer Service Team Leader
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 7.30am–4.00pm

With a proud history and a strong commitment to quality, we’re looking for a confident and people-focused Customer Service Team Leader to join our Invercargill branch. About the Role
As the Customer Service Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of three Customer Service Representatives. You’ll ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the customer service function, supporting both trade and retail customers with product enquiries, orders, and general support. This role is hands-on! you’ll lead by example, jump in to assist with complex queries, and work closely with the wider operations and sales teams to keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day customer interactions at the front desk, ensuring every visitor receives prompt, professional, and solutions‑focused support
- Lead, coach, and support a team of three Customer Service Representatives
- Oversee daily workflow and ensure timely, accurate customer service
- Handle escalated customer enquiries and problem-solve effectively
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Support order processing, quoting, and product information requests
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experience
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
About You
You’ll bring a mix of leadership capability, customer service experience, and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a customer service or coordination role
- Leadership experience (formal or informal) with the ability to motivate others
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence working with systems, data entry, and order processing
- A calm, organised approach — even when things get busy
- Experience in manufacturing, building products, or trade environments (advantageous but not essential)
