Description

We’re looking for a Cyclic Crew Member to join our Maintenance JV team working on the Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Warkworth PPP project which has extend SH1’s northern motorway 18.5km from the Johnstones Hill Tunnels to Warkworth.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across a variety of tasks to keep roads safe, tidy, and running well. You’ll take ownership of your area, work closely with your crew, and be part of a roster for incident response when needed.

You will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out routine maintenance across roads, drainage, signage, and roadside assets
  • Completing minor pavement repairs such as potholes, crack sealing, and edge breaks
  • Maintaining vegetation, rest areas, and general roadside presentation
  • Operating small plant, tools, and vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Responding to incidents and supporting after-hours callouts on a roster
  • Recording work completed and updating systems using tablets and mobile devices

What You’ll Bring to the Role
  • A full Class 1 driver licence (Class 2, 4 or WTR is a bonus)
  • Practical experience in civil, roading, or maintenance work
  • Confidence using tools, small plant, and vehicles safely
  • Good time management and the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Clear communication skills when dealing with crew, contractors, and the public
  • A commitment to health and safety and doing the job right first time
