Fletcher Insulation is a leading Australian manufacturer and distributor of insulation products, with iconic brands such as Pink® Batts and Sisalation®. About the Role

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new Distribution Centre in Keysborough, Melbourne, and are seeking a passionate and innovative DC Operations Manager to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved from the very beginning, allowing you to shape and recruit your own team. You will play a pivotal role in driving daily operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and continuous improvement through a supportive and collaborative team culture.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Distribution Centre, managing a dedicated team, and coordinating with transport providers and internal stakeholders. Your leadership will be crucial in maintaining high standards of work, fostering a positive work environment, and achieving our strategic goals. You will ensure compliance with OHS and Chain of Responsibility regulations, manage inventory integrity through regular cycle counts and stocktakes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity. We are looking for a leader who can bring a confident commercial mindset to their role so they can drive budgets, forecasting and providing monthly commentary on financial performance, while ensuring the efficient use of resources.

Ideal Skills & Attributes

Proven background in managing a large distribution centre
Passionate about leading teams with a focus on safety, efficiency, and engagement
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing and retaining key talent.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
Ability to plan and execute inbound and outbound logistics activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
A commitment to fostering a safe and healthy workplace, with knowledge of OHS and Chain of Responsibility regulations.
Confident in Forklift Operation with a current license
Experience in inventory management, including cycle counts and stocktakes, to maintain stock integrity.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Ability to communicate to all levels of teams from operators to leaders
