Description

Like You, We’re Proudly Building New Zealand! It’s something we are proud to have been a trusted part of, for over 90 years and counting. Every day, passionate and dedicated people come together as an industry to help build healthy, sustainable homes, creating a better future for all New Zealanders.  GIB® Plasterboard is the number one choice by customers in New Zealand.  Our quality and reliable products, along with our unparalleled service and support is what sets us apart. When you start with us, you will learn that we are all brought together by the passion we have for putting the customer at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking a proactive and safety-focused Pre-Delivery Site Checker to support our Auckland Delivered to Site (DTS) operations and ensure sites are “Plasterboard Ready” prior to delivery. This hands-on, site-based role is critical to delivering safe, efficient, and problem-free plasterboard deliveries. You will work closely with customers, delivery teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure all site access, safety, and placement requirements are confirmed before delivery day. Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and coordinate daily site inspections in collaboration with dispatch, sales, and site contacts.
  • Conduct pre-delivery site inspections to confirm safe access, identify hazards, and ensure sites meet “Plasterboard Ready” criteria.
  • Communicate and resolve issues prior to delivery, escalating where necessary to prevent disruptions.
  • Champion health and safety, reporting hazards and supporting a strong safety-first culture.

About You
You are organised, safety-focused, and confident communicating with construction professionals. You thrive in a proactive role where identifying and resolving issues early makes a real difference, as well as:
  • A full, clean driving license
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building ability
  • Safety-first mindset
  • Construction or logistics experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Knowledge of building products or plasterboard desirable

Why Join Us?
  • Work with an iconic and stable NZ manufacturing brand
  • Part of Fletcher Building Group with excellent benefits and future development opportunities

If you’re ready to play a key role in ensuring smooth and successful deliveries, we’d love to hear from you. Applications close on Monday 9th March.
