About the role:

We have a Delivery Services Planner opportunity available! As a part of our team, you will provide the vital link between our products and customers, planning and coordinating order deliveries from our stores to our customers.

Your day will encompass schedule planning, monitoring jobs, and dispatching trucks and resources for our branch network. You will work to continuously improve our delivery service through effective route planning and communication.

Daily you will be responsible for –
  • Interaction with our customers, communication with our branches, drivers, and other internal stakeholders
  • Problem-solving around planning routes, delivery times, and deadlines
  • Reporting - improvement with a focus on cost reduction, productivity, and efficiency measures.

This role can be challenging, and you will be recognised as the front-runner for this location, your resilience and ability to think logically even when under pressure, will certainly come in handy in this ever-changing environment. You will be engaging and adaptable can effectively communicate delivery plans and will have a strong customer-focused service with an aim to work collaboratively to add value on all touch points.

Travel is involved with this role – regular visits to our branches and working closely with our drivers with regular ‘ride alongs’, will help you understand and build better relationships. 


Skills and Experience: 
  • Previous experience in transport or logistics, based around dispatch and planning, coordination and scheduling is a must!
  • Customer Service experience is key – as well as the ability to juggle several tasks at any one time while ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently.
  • Your resilience and ability to think logically even when under pressure will certainly come in handy in this ever-changing environment.
  • You will be an engaging and adaptable individual, able to effectively communicate delivery plans, and will have a strong customer-focused service with an aim to work collaboratively to add value on all touch points.
  • You must be systems savvy with the confidence to pick up our systems and route planning tools quickly.
