The role:
PlaceMakers Queenstown provides a busy working environment where no two days are ever the same. We pride ourselves on our customer connection and value genuine interactions with our loyal customer base daily. Our drive-thru & yard team are integral to our customer experience. 

The successful candidate will be a strong people leader with proven skills to lead a team of eight in a very busy department. You will be responsible for ensuring that this department thrives and exceeds goals while maintaining a fantastic team culture and safety focus.

You will achieve this by:

Working alongside a team of 8 driving them to provide exceptional service
Leading the department to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained
Managing team workload to ensure customer delivery and collections are ready in time
Actively working to ensure the safety of your team, our customers and the department
Motivation the team to achieve operational excellence
Maintaining world class employee engagement and safety standards
Assisting the Inventory Controller with maintaining stock levels and accuracy 
Working with other department leaders to ensure seamless service 

This is a full-time permanent role (45 hours a week) with plenty of training and support!

About you:
We’re looking for someone with a passion for leadership who can implement systems and processes to ensure that we continue to be the leading supplier for building materials. To be successful you will need to build and maintain effective relationships with teammates and customers by being solutions focused.

Skills and Experience:
Experience leading a team of 5 or more – demonstrable ability to motivate others 
Clearly influences internal and external stakeholders to achieve goals KPI
Experience in providing exceptional customer service 
Can innovate systems and processes to take the department to the next level
Health & Safety Knowledge and Experience
Excellent communication skills
