About the Role
We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Distribution Team based in Tauriko. Reporting to our Distribution Operations Manager, you will be responsible for providing supervision of all distribution processes, through effective leadership of direct reports, meeting performance targets whilst ensuring all aspects of health, safety and the environment are met within budget constraints. Recognising that all incidents are preventable, you will assist in behavioural safety leadership through active participation with the team to achieve and sustain Zero Harm. This is a dynamic hands-on role that will require a multi-skilled leader with a balanced approach and support of the day-to-day activities and management responsibilities.

About you
Joining a close-knit team in a stable environment, we’re looking for a team member who is responsive to the needs of the team, has excellent communication skills and who has a good sense of humour and passion for what they do to fit in with our current team. You’ll bring distribution, supply chain or operations leadership experience, with a demonstrated capability of driving customer-centric distribution and transport processes. Also required:
  • Provide direction and guidance to other employees including on the job training and induction to meet standards and targets. 
  • A sound working knowledge of the loading/ unloading principles of high risk product.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain solid working relationships, both internal and external.
  • Excellent safety leadership, and committed to instilling these values in your team.
  • Strong computer literacy in MS Office.
  • A current Forklift license.
