About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our small but busy team based in Levin.

Our ideal candidate will be a self starter with some solid experience in heavy machinery, road transport and small plant.  Having experience in Hydraulic systems will be a huge advantage and if you have engineering welding skills it’s a plus. Experience with crushers would be an advantage but not necessary.

This vacancy is for our only Diesel Mechanic / Workshop Foreman onsite, however you’re supported by an Welder /fabricator and your leader, our Operations Manager is also a qualified Diesel Mechanic.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining our fleet of trucks, machinery and plant to a high level.
  • Supervision of welder/fabricator and part time staff.

Skills And Experience 

  • Qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic
  • Ideally you’ll have a Class 5 licence to move the plant around
  • TC Basic Certificate and First aid desirable
  • Ability to supervise staff
  • A commitment to the highest standards of Health & Safety
