Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Lead to join our in-house technical services team at Fletcher Construction. Engineering Services provide consulting services to the wider construction and tendering teams across Fletcher Major Projects, Brian Perry Civil and Higgins. Our diverse team members specialise in Temporary Works Design (Structures & Geotech) & Construction Engineering, CAD & Geometric Modelling, Digital Engineering & BIM processes, Surveying & Spatial Capture, Construction Technology and Innovation. 

Reporting to the Engineering Services and Innovation Manager, this role is crucial in supporting our construction teams to establish, implement and deliver  projects with modern, model-based workflows. This involves managing design model risks and opportunities, understanding client Digital Engineering frameworks, and ensuring projects meet contractual requirements for as-built documentation. The role will also focus on optimising these workflows in co-ordination with the BIM & Surveying teams with Construction 4.0 technologies, providing expert governance, and integrating emerging digital trends to maintain a competitive edge.

We are looking for technical excellence in one or more of the below fields and knowledge and applied experience to co-ordination with the others:
  • BIM Management and ISO19650
  • Construction Surveying & Modelling, 
  • GIS, As-built models and digital twins

What you will bring to the role:

  • 10 years minimum of construction, design or asset owner related experience
  • Tertiary Qualification or equivalent Industry Experience 
  • You will be an experienced leader with a genuine enthusiasm for fostering team growth and development.
  • Experience in Data Management and storage protocols, Construction Quality processes, Change Management and data conversion is essential.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of multiple construction software packages including construction CDE’s from Trimble, Autodesk and 12d.
  • High level of knowledge and understanding of Civil Engineering design and construction.
  • Sound logical reasoning and the ability to identify patterns in technical data.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
