Description

Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Logistics Coordinator for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, energetic operator who’s great at organising people, plant, and materials. This role keeps our project moving coordinating truck movements, dealing with quarries and tip sites, managing deliveries, and keeping our laydown areas running smoothly.

If you’re used to running a yard, dispatching trucks, working around loaders/excavators, or managing materials on a construction site, you’ll fit right in.

  • Booking and coordinating truck movements, deliveries, and removals
  • Working directly with quarries, cartage contractors, tip sites, and suppliers
  • Receiving materials on site and keeping track of stockpiles in the laydown area
  • Helping with unloading trucks and using small tools when needed
  • Visiting site work fronts and liaising with engineers and supervisors
  • Keeping things organised — people, plant, materials, and paperwork
  • Overseeing gate staff / traffic movements at access points
  • Being the “go‑to” person for anything materials related

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in construction, civil, quarry, dispatch, or plant hire
  • Strong organisational skills — you’re the type who keeps things running smoothly
  • Good with computers and basic reporting
  • Comfortable talking with suppliers, drivers, and site teams
  • Hands‑on and willing to pitch in where needed
  • Class 2 licence preferred
  • WTR, loader, forklift, or telehandler experience a bonus

This is a practical, on-the-ground role perfect for someone who likes variety, working with plant, and keeping a busy site running efficiently.

We may be a big team, but we haven’t lost sight of what really matters: looking after our people.

We recognise that treating our people well is only partially about what happens during work hours. It’s also about the impact we have outside of work hours too. That’s why we have incredible learning and development opportunities for staff and their families, industry-leading parental leave, support systems and generous corporate discounts.
