Firth is New Zealand’s leading concrete supplier, committed to quality, safety, and environmental sustainability. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a reliable, safety‑focused Driver/Batcher to join our Katikati team and become a true concrete all‑rounder.

This dual role combines batching concrete to specification with delivering ready‑mix to customers across the region. If you enjoy hands‑on work, variety in your day, and being part of a tight‑knit team, this is the opportunity for you.


Our Role


In this combined Batcher/Driver position, you’ll ensure our concrete is batched to specification and quality standards, while also delivering product safely and professionally to our customers. You’ll provide timely, accurate service, efficiently process and facilitate orders, and operate a Class 4 concrete truck as part of your daily responsibilities.

Teamwork is highly valued, and your role is central to keeping our plant and delivery operations running smoothly. This position involves hands‑on, physical tasks, including regular heavy lifting and manual labour.

This varied role offers a great mix of batching, coordination, scheduling, truck operation, and customer contact. It requires someone with excellent customer service and communication skills, strong data entry capability, accuracy and attention to detail, and confident time‑management to support both production and delivery workflows.

What You Will Bring 

  • Valid NZ Full Driver Licence (Class 4 required for driving duties)
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
  • Be able to lift objects up to 25kgs in weight  
  • Be able to handle manual labour   
  • Attention to details and accuracy 
  • Time management skills & Planning – To schedule & coordinate the mixing, loading & delivery of all concrete orders 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
