Description

Higgins Wellington has secured an exciting new contract - the Wellington City Council Road Maintenance Contract. Due to this, our team is growing, and we are seeking Class 2 Drivers to join the team.

You will have experience driving within roading and civil transportation environments and be competent in operating heavy trucks, as well as loading and unloading specialised roading equipment and materials. It is essential that you have a sound understanding of road construction methodologies, along with proven experience in metal spreading and the asphalt supply chain. As this is a hands on role, you will also be required to carry out labouring duties to support the crew when needed.

What You Need:
  • Full Class 2 License (Class 4 licence will be a bonus) 
  • STMS is desirable
  • WTR endorsement a bonus
  • Experience in civil construction or road maintenance
  • Must be available to work on an on-call roster
  • Familiarity with RAMM is beneficial but not essential
  • Flexible, committed, and reliable – will turn up rain or shine
