Description

Higgins are seeking a multiskilled Operator/Class 5 Driver to join the Heavy Maintenance Crew on the East Waikato Network Outcomes Contract (EW NOC) covering the Hauraki Plains - Coromandel Peninsula. 

Based out of our Morrinsville branch, you will be responsible for transporting mobile plant and equipment to various sites and carrying out road maintenance work. This includes operating machinery such as excavators, rollers, and brooms. Additionally, you may be involved in transporting aggregate and materials to site using a 6-wheeler truck.

What you’ll bring to the role: 
  • Appropriate licences (Class 5 + WTR) 
  • Previous experience in a similar role driving heavy trucks & operating a range of plant
  • Familiarity with manual Roadranger gearboxes is essential
  • Willing to be hands on and support your team with a variety of tasks
  • Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public 
  • Flexible, committed and reliable – will turn up rain or shine
