Description

We have an opportunity for an EHS Advisor to join the team in Hawke’s Bay.  Reporting to the EHS Manager, you will be supporting the Higgins Teams on all things EHS. As an EHS professional you will coach,guide and provide technical advice to management, contractors and have boots on the ground to coach in the field.

What you will bring to the role:


  • Previous advisory experience in health and safety within the civil construction industry is essential 
  • Tertiary qualifications in EHS 
  • Excellent knowledge of the NZ legislative environment including HSE, ACC and HSNO and industry guidelines and standards 
  • Thorough knowledge of work-related illnesses and injuries, and rehabilitation processes
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive accident/incident investigations, recommend correct and preventative actions
  • Strong communication skills with a coaching, influencing emphasis
