EHS Advisor – Hawke’s Bay
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor to join our team in Hawke’s Bay. Reporting directly to the Region Manager, you’ll lead the charge in supporting Higgins teams across all aspects of EHS. You’ll also provide oversight and guidance to the EHS Coordinator, who will report into this role.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on mentorship and collaboration, and who is passionate about cultivating a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

What you will bring to the role:
- Previous advisory experience in health and safety within the civil construction industry is essential
- Tertiary qualifications in EHS
- Excellent knowledge of the NZ legislative environment including HSE, ACC and HSNO and industry guidelines and standards
- Thorough knowledge of work-related illnesses and injuries, and rehabilitation processes
- Ability to conduct comprehensive accident/incident investigations, recommend correct and preventative actions
- Strong communication skills with a coaching, influencing emphasis
