More About Your Role 

We are on the lookout for a people focused EHS Business Partner at Iplex Strathpine this role plays a key part in supporting safe, sustainable and compliant operations across complex manufacturing environments. Working closely with Operational and Site Leaders, this role focuses on proactively managing risk, strengthening safety capability and embedding practical, fit for purpose EHS systems that genuinely support the way work gets done. You will help translate safety and environmental requirements into clear, meaningful actions, ensuring hazards are understood, controls are effective and safety remains a shared responsibility at every level.

This is a true partnering role, you will work alongside Operations Managers and frontline leaders, influencing rather than directing, and building trust through open communication and practical support. With strong national frameworks and leadership backing, you will be empowered to focus on what matters most, improving risk awareness, encouraging positive safety conversations, and driving measurable outcomes such as stronger compliance, reduced incidents, engaged teams and confident leaders who feel supported in their safety responsibilities.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, mining or similarly complex operational environments, where risk management is critical
  • Essential experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, including implementation, maintenance and audit readiness
  • Sound understanding of health and safety risk management, critical controls
  • Practical experience supporting, partnering or influencing operational leaders 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain risk and safety concepts clearly to different audiences
  • Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environment, Sustainability or a related field (or equivalent experience)
