The Role:

  • Reports directly to the Head of EHS with full autonomy to lead safety training, investigations, and compliance
  • Partner with managers to integrate EHS into operational decision-making, planning, and execution
  • Responsible for implementing annual safety plans and core standards across branches
  • Champion a proactive, line-led safety culture and the belief all injuries can be prevented within the operational workforce
  • Work with the business to develop and structure annual plans and routine activities
  • Focused on inspiring behavioral change and developing safety culture within teams
  • Regular travel throughout the Waikato and wellington region 

About You:
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to engage with diverse teams to advance safety culture 
  • Excellent communication skills and confident around navigating computer systems and Microsoft suite 
  • Focused on influencing mindsets and driving behavioural change to achieve zero injurie
  • Ideal for someone seeking deep connection and impact within their organisation
  • Proven EHS experience ideally within large, complex environment 
  • Must have solid knowledge of NZ Health and Safety legislation and Codes of Practice
  • Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety are advantageous
