A vacancy exists at our large modern Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) Plant located near Gympie (Cooloola / Sunshine Coast) for a qualified Maintenance Electrician to join the team.  

This will be a Monday – Friday - Salaried Role 

Your responsibilities:
  • Maintain the integrity of the Plant manufacturing control systems and networks
  • Install electrical equipment for plant modifications / projects.
  • Conduct high level fault finding, repair and carry out maintenance on complex electrical systems comprising of Citect SCADA systems, Allen Bradley PLCs and Variable Speed drives.
  • Optimise existing Plant machinery and processes to consistently provide maximum output
  • Provide hands on support for planning and specifying control systems for all on-site capital works
  • Provide hands on project supervision.
  • Recommend and implement control system modifications to improve productivity and safety

Your skills and experience:
  • Electrical trade qualification - further qualifications in instrumentation would be highly desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in PLC/SCADA/DCS systems (e.g. Allen Bradley, Rockwell), fault-finding and automation upgrades.
  • Skilled in AC drives, with exposure to process instrumentation, hydraulics and pneumatics (advantageous).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing automation, preventative maintenance and site projects.
  • Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
  • A high standard of safety awareness and focus
  • Ability to proactively support all continuous improvement programs
  • An exposure to a Computerised Management System (CMMS) would be advantageous
