We are currently the market leader in the solution, supply and hire of NZTA Road Safety Products and also specialise in the manufacture and supply of lighting columns, flood light columns, telecommunication masts and steel structures to various market sectors.

We have a permanent opportunity for a Draughtsperson to join our team! A key role responsible for supporting the Product Engineering team as well as the wider Fletcher Steel Engineering team completing various draughting projects.

About the role
Working alongside our engineers, you will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and detailed work during the specification process, as well as “for manufacturing” drawings.  You will take ownership to manage expectations of internal and external stakeholder needs – and to be able to communicate with the team if there are design problems you may see!

About you
To be successful in this role you will have worked in a similar position ideally in a roading or infrastructure organisation, or another technical field.  You will need sound experience working with Solidworks, specifically to design and draft in 2D and 3D.  Having an in depth understanding of construction methodologies and materials, as well as knowledge of New Zealand building codes and regulations.  You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills as you will be working closely with internal teams as well as external customers.
