About the Role

As our Engineering Manager, you’ll guide a skilled engineering team including temporary works and surveying and help shape the delivery of complex civil construction projects. You’ll support project teams, strengthen design and construction integration, and create an environment where people feel supported to do their best work.

Lead and coach engineers across temporary works, surveying and project delivery.
Work closely with project, design and commercial teams to ensure clear and practical technical decisions.
Support engineering quality, information management and safety processes across the project lifecycle.
Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, iwi and community groups.
Help engineers at different stages of their careers develop capability, confidence and professional judgement.
Contribute to planning, risk, cost, programme and scope decisions across projects.

What You’ll Bring

Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or equivalent
Professional engineering registration
Draw on solid engineering experience to guide teams through complex civil project work.
Communicate clearly and build trust with people across construction, design and commercial functions.
Bring a considered, collaborative approach to solving technical challenges.
Contribute perspectives that broaden the way the team thinks and works.
Support the growth of engineers at different stages and help create a fair, respectful team environment.
Use sound judgement to balance safety, technical quality, time and cost decisions.
