EHS Advisor - Onehunga/Mt Wellington

We’re looking for an EHS Advisor who’s eager to champion safety across our sites and be a key player (or partner) in creating a proactive, safety-first culture. In this role, you’ll work with a range of teams and people across the business, to ensure we meet our EHS goals and continue to innovate in safety practices.
 
THE ROLE:
  • Lead the charge in supporting and rolling out our EHS programs across the business and sites within Auckland, with a small amount of travel to Tauranga and Wellington each month.
  • Promote a safety culture that’s proactive, engaged, and always improving.
  • Conduct internal audits, identify risks, and ensure we stay ahead of compliance, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Coach teams on identifying hazards and managing risks to keep the workplace safe and compliant.
  • Support incident investigation completion and ensure we learn and improve from every situation.
  • Be the go-to person for EHS training and guidance, ensuring the team is always up to speed on best practices.
  • Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain a high level of safety across the board.
  • Play a key role in improving and implementing EHS systems and processes.
ABOUT YOU:
  • EHS Diploma/Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) with 3-5 years of experience in EHS advisory roles, or a EHS Coordinator with H&S exposure looking for your next career move.
  • A strong understanding of EHS legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence all levels of the business.
  • Hands-on experience in auditing, risk management, and driving continuous improvement in EHS systems.
  • A proactive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to coach and mentor others on safety practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or transport environments is a plus!
