As part of the Fletcher Building Group, we combine global expertise with strong local roots.  We are looking for an exceptional Events & Sponsorship Manager for a 4-month contract to help bring our brand to life across multiple events, across the country.

About the Role
Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, the Events & Sponsorship Manager plays a key role in delivering high quality marketing communications, promotional initiatives, and brand experiences. This role is responsible for determining internal and external creative requirements.  You will transform briefs into compelling creative outputs, oversee agency and supplier relationships, and ensure seamless execution of events, sponsorships, advertising, and digital activities.  This is a hands-on role, from two to five events per month, the role is ideal for a highly organised, collaborative marketing professional who thrives on project management, stakeholder engagement, and storytelling through brand experiences.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver end‑to‑end marketing activity across promotions, advertising, collateral, product communications and category updates.
  • Coordinate events, sponsorship activation, collateral, merchandise and supplier contributions.
  • Manage internal vs. external creative requirements, timelines, approvals and day‑to‑day agency coordination.
  • Support product and segment communications with Marketing team and Product Managers and provide Sales Teams with effective promotional materials.
  • Assist with consumer initiatives, digital projects, CRM, customer loyalty programmes and broader Communications Strategy delivery.
  • Create targeted collateral using in‑house design tools and deliver printed literature and campaigns to a high standard.
  • Track and manage the Communications and Events expense budget.

About You
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative, agile, and customer focused environment. You will bring:
  • Can do attitude, not afraid to do some lifting.
  • Strong experience in marketing coordination, events management or sponsorship activation.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Confidence working with creative agencies and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Familiarity with digital channels, CRM systems, and basic design tools (e.g. Indesign advantageous).
  • Creative thinking on how to support/deliver product messaging and initiatives to life at events
  • Presentation creation skills a must.

  • Previous experience from building industry or working with specifiers (advantageous)
