The Role

Join our Residential and Development Finance team as a Finance Analyst, where you'll deliver insightful analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance

This role is primarily based out of our head office in Penrose, but with the expectation to visit the wider team at our Auckland branches.

Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Apply strong financial reporting, accounting, and data analysis skills to deliver accurate insights and drive process improvements using financial tools and systems.
  • Analyse large datasets to extract actionable insights that support commercial strategies and align with business goals.
  • Interpret financial trends and performance data to recommend initiatives that enhance profitability and support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, communicates financial insights clearly, and support effective reporting.
  • Demonstrate proactive customer service, supports team development, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, and assist with month-end close, balance sheet recs and audit processes.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance financial analysis and reporting processes, monitoring KPIs and implementing improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data, has an inquisitive mind, and thrives on turning complex problems into actionable insights.
  • You will have a degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field, and bring 2–4 years of experience in a finance, business intelligence, or analytics-focused role, with a strong foundation in financial principles and business operations.
  • You bring a deep understanding of financial and accounting concepts, with hands-on experience using data to analyse performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making.
  • You’re confident working with senior stakeholders and have a proven ability to influence through data, building strong, credible relationships across the business.
  • You’re highly proficient in Excel and financial modelling, and skilled at presenting insights and recommendations clearly.
  • You have practical experience with Power BI and know how to design dashboards that drive business value.
  • Your detail-oriented, analytical, and always looking for ways to optimise processes, enhance reporting, and deliver measurable impact through data.
