Description

As a Finance Business Partner at PlaceMakers, you’ll sit at the heart of decision-making, partnering with leaders across the business to turn numbers into insights that drive performance. Working across multiple functions your role will provide commercial advice, challenge thinking, and ensure every decision is backed by clear, actionable financial insight. This isn’t a back-office role it’s a front-seat opportunity to influence strategy, guide investment, and be a trusted advisor to the business from forecasting and budgeting to supporting transformation initiatives, your work will make a real impact.

  • Partnering with functional leaders to provide commercial insight and strategic advice
  • Leading forecasting, budgeting, and planning for key areas of the business
  • Turning complex financial data into clear, actionable stories
  • Supporting business cases, investment decisions, and transformation initiatives
  • Helping uplift financial capability across teams and building strong cross-functional relationships

Based on site at PlaceMakers Support Office in Penrose, Auckland, this is a permanent full-time role offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About You:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring proven experience in a similar finance business partner role and have a passion for turning numbers into insights. Combining sharp analytical thinking with commercial awareness, you’ll deliver accurate, strategic outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • CAANZ (or equivalent) qualification 
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships at all levels 
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel 
  • Experience with financial tools and ERP systems TM1 and Power BI
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
