Finance & Claims Administrator – Palmerston North (Higgins)

We have an exciting fixed term opportunity (maternity cover, through to February 2027) for an experienced Finance & Claims Administrator to join the Higgins Green Team in Palmerston North. Reporting to our Regional Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting our finance team while managing claims processes with accuracy and care.

What you’ll be doing

Assisting the finance team with administration duties, including transaction processing
Managing accounts payable and receivable tasks as required
Raising and tracking Purchase Orders
Preparing financial and claims reports for the team
Coordinating and undertaking audits when required
Administering and maintaining databases, including Fleet Management and Asset Register
Supporting claims management, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
General administration responsibilities

What you’ll bring

Strong administrative experience with a financial background
Experience in claims administration or processing (preferred)
Self starter attitude with ownership of your work
Construction industry experience (advantageous but not essential)
Competence with JDE, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Reliability and strong organisational skills
