Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Finance Manager to join our team for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).


About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on Finance Manager to lead the finance function for Te Awa Kairangi, a major infrastructure alliance. You’ll manage a small team, own financial reporting, and be the key link between the project and head office.

  • Lead and develop the Accounts Payable team
  • Own monthly progress claims and subcontractor assessments
  • Deliver accurate cost coding, forecasting, and reporting
  • Provide financial insight and support to project managers
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with alliance standards
  • Maintain cashflow visibility and drive financial governance

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Strong project-based finance experience within construction industry
  • Confidence managing AP and financial reporting end-to-end
  • Ability to work with auditors and senior stakeholders
  • Experience with claims, cost tracking, and forecasting
  • A practical mindset and clear communication style
  • CA qualification is a bonus, but not essential

About Te Awa Kairangi 

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.  Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.  Design is underway and construction is due to commence in late 2025.
