We pride ourselves on our exceptional team and the top-quality products we manufacture. Currently we are on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Fitter Machinist to join our dedicated and supportive team.

As a Fitter Machinist at NIBF (Innisfail), you’ll play a hands-on role in crafting precision components using manual lathes, mills, and advanced CNC machinery. From fabrication and modification to repair, you’ll work on diverse projects that keep every day exciting and challenging. Your expertise in reading and interpreting CAD and Fusion drawings will ensure accuracy and efficiency, while your commitment to safety and quality standards guarantees exceptional results. This is an opportunity to bring technical skill and problem-solving together in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same

Skills That You Will Have
  • Background in trade, construction, process/manufacturing, or foundry work.
  • Trade qualified Machinist, with skills in welding
  • Exceptional time management, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude
  • You have a 100% commitment to health & safety and can follow all safety regulations
  • You can communicate with a diverse range of teammates
  • Comfortable to work in hot temperatures and handle a rotating day/night roster.
  • Must pass a full medical and drug & alcohol test.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, motivated, and takes pride in your work
Who Is NIBF
Northern Iron & Brass Foundry (NIBF), part of Iplex was established in 1934, with the foundry in Wangan located on the outskirts of Innisfail. NIBF specialise in the production of castings in a broad range of Iron, Bronze, Aluminium, and Steel. We employ a range of skills including Moulders, Fitters, Operators, Logistics, and safety. We are one of the largest employers in the Wangan community. Our products are sold both throughout Australia and internationally.
