Higgins Hamilton have secured an exciting new contract - the Waikato District Council northern road maintenance and renewals contract. Due to this, our team is growing, and we are seeking Road Maintenance Labourers to join the Green Team now, ready for project kick off in July 2025.

The contract covers a network of approximately 1200km in North Waikato from Huntly to Pōkeno and you will be involved in general maintenance, repair works, annual programmed works, pre-seal repairs and additional works on this comprehensive roading network.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Previous experience in road maintenance
Experience in leading and motivating a team
Full Class 1 & 2 Driver's license required
WTR (Wheels, Tracks, and Rollers) endorsement
TC Basic Certificate and First Aid desirable
Must be available to work on an on-call roster
Able to reach the job site within 30 minutes for any call-outs
Familiarity with RAMM is beneficial
Reliable, honest, and a good team player
