We have an expanding and developing area in our business and want to take you on the journey with us. We are looking for a Gas Technician to join our contracting business in Palmerston North for an exciting and varied opportunity. 

This is a technically challenging role where you will be providing quality service and workmanship in the areas of new gas service connections, faults and repairs, stand overs and mark outs for gas networks and leak detection. 

You will also be involved in planned maintenance and routine inspections of both above and below network assets including district stations, metering equipment, gas network pipes and pipeline protections. 

You’ll enjoy working outdoors, doing physical and mechanical work in a variety of conditions in an environment where we need to have a 24-hour call roster.

Here’s what we need from you: 
A current Gas Distribution Industry Certificate of Competence (CoC)
Extensive industry related experience
Sound knowledge of gas testing, protection equipment, systems and procedures utilised on gas networks
Strong commitment to Health and Safety
A clean full drivers licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle
Be a reliable, honest and flexible team-player 
Have excellent time management skills with the ability to follow instructions
Availability to participate in a call out roster
