Location: Palmerston North

We’re looking for a skilled General or Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Specialised Engineering Services, based in Palmerston North. If you’re passionate about engineering and enjoy working on a wide variety of projects, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Role
In this role, you’ll be involved in a diverse range of work including:
  • Repair, Maintenance and mechanical work on Sprayers, Trailers and Bulk tank Machinery.
  • Undertaking engineering works on new plant and machinery for the bitumen transportation and application industry.

What You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in general or mechanical engineering
  • National Certificate in General Engineering, Mechanical – L4
  • Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Welding certification to AS/NZS ISO 9606.1:2017 (advantageous)
  • Full, clean Class 1 NZ driver’s licence (Class 2, forklift, and Dangerous Goods endorsements are a plus)
  • Skills in mechanical, maintenance and servicing of machinery.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety – for yourself, your team, and the public
