Higgins Hamilton have secured an exciting new contract - the Waikato District Council northern road maintenance and renewals contract. Due to this, our team is growing, and we are seeking an experienced Grader Operator to join the Green Team now, ready for project kick off in July 2025.

The contract covers North Waikato from Huntly to Pōkeno and includes maintenance of a comprehensive network of approximately 1200km of sealed and unsealed roads including rural and coastal areas.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Proven experience operating a grader on civil construction projects including knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in road construction & maintenance
Experience operating other heavy machinery is highly sought after e.g. Diggers, Rollers, Watercart
Appropriate licences (Class 2 + WTR)
Willing to be hands on and support your team with a variety of construction tasks, if required
Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public
