Description

The Higgins Construction division in Hamilton is currently looking for an experienced Grader Operator to join the team. We have a strong pipeline of work ahead and offer excellent opportunities to continue to grow your career with Higgins.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Proven experience operating a grader on civil construction projects, with strong knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in road construction
  • Experience operating other heavy machinery is highly desirable (e.g. diggers, rollers, watercart)
  • Appropriate licenses (Class 4 + WTR)
  • A strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your colleagues and the public
  • A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently when required
  • A good level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
  • Reliability, honesty and a flexible, team-focused approach
  • Willing to be hands on and support the wider team with a variety of construction tasks when needed
