About the Role:
Due to an internal promotion, this is an opportunity for you to use your impactful HR and exceptional influencing skills to provide comprehensive and professional support to our branch network covering the Upper North, Auckland, Waikato/Bay of Plenty through to Hastings.  Primarily based in our National Office in Penrose, this is an all-encompassing role where you will partner with key stakeholders to deliver best practice human resource initiatives with a particular focus on employment relations, talent, change management, engagement, capability and performance.  The good news is, the business appreciates and seeks our support, so your advice will be truly valued plus you'll get to work with a great group of HR professionals who you can learn from, lean on and share experiences with.

About You:
Key to your success will be your ability to build trust and coach business leaders on people/talent management, performance management and employee relations to lift capability and improve engagement, as well as influence through clear communication and alignment of strategy, culture, process and behaviours. You will be a thought leader and not afraid to challenge the status quo driving excellence across the business.

Motivated by delivering best practice, you will be efficient, personable and resilient in your style. More than that, you will have a genuine desire to understand our operations, and will navigate an independent workload expertly.

Additional skills/experience desired:

  • Proven track record with a minimum of 4 years’ experience
  • Tertiary qualification in HR, business or related discipline
  • Practical knowledge NZ employment legislation and employment relations
  • Ability to manage strategic HR projects from inception to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Systems savvy
