Description

Shape the future of our workforce.

Firth is looking for a proactive and collaborative People & Performance Business Partner to support our Concrete Division. This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic people initiatives while delivering hands-on HR support across the business.

What’s in It for You

At Fletcher Building, we support your success with:

  • Career Development & Learning: Access to leadership pathways, internal mobility, and structured development programs.
  • Wellbeing & Support: Wellbeing leave, mental health services, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Inclusive Culture: Active inclusion & diversity strategies, employee networks, and cultural celebrations.
  • Competitive Benefits: Employee discounts, paid parental leave, share scheme participation, and KiwiSaver contributions.
  • Sustainability & Purpose: Be part of a business committed to environmental responsibility and community impact.

About the Role

As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you’ll:

  • Partner with leaders to drive engagement and performance across our teams.
  • Lead end-to-end people initiatives for a defined portfolio within Firth.
  • Take ownership of a key activity area across Firth (Learning, OD, Rem, or similar) to add real value.
  • Deliver and execute the BU People Strategy aligned with divisional goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment relations and employment law.
  • Support workforce planning, talent development, and inclusion & diversity strategies.
  • Maintain HR data integrity and provide insights using Workday.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in HR business partnering, ideally in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Strong understanding of NZ employment law and ER/IR practices.
  • Confidence coaching and influencing leaders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and data-driven decision making.
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset.

Firth fosters a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven environment. Employees benefit from being part of Fletcher Building’s broader network, with access to career development, wellbeing support, and a strong values-based culture.
