Description

This is a role where leadership meets delivery. As a Hub Trade Support Manager, you’ll take charge of Trade Support and Branch Administration teams across Central and South Auckland, connecting these support functions between Account Managers and Trade Customers. With a strong focus on refining how we work, lifting service standards, and executing initiatives to enable growth you will lead from the ground up, make smart calls and build a team culture that nails the basics with every interaction, order and system behind the scenes. 
  • Lead a team, connecting people and processes, setting direction, coaching, and building capabilities to deliver service aligned with commercial goals
  • Manage workflow to create clarity around team responsibilities, improve task visibility, and support consistent service delivery
  • Maximise sales., solution selling, and proactive customer engagement initiatives
  • Oversee credit and pricing processes to reduce errors, improve margins and maintain financial accuracy across transactions
  • Resolve operational issues by identifying root causes and implementing practical solutions to enhance systems and team performance
  • Analyse and report on key metrics order accuracy, timelines, and telephony statistics to drive continuous improvement and accountability
  • Build strong relationships with our Trade Customers by understanding their realities and challenges, making a difference through a one-stop shop and a team of trusted advisors committed 100% to exceptional service

Permanent full-time role with a home base at PlaceMakers Mt Wellington, Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with regular travel across Auckland branches


About You: 
To succeed in this role, you’ll be a natural leader who sees the bigger picture understanding the needs and motivations of your team, trade customers, and stakeholders to build trust, embrace change, and align shared goals. You’ll have a passion for developing others, with the ability to influence and empower, and bring strong commercial awareness to plan effectively and deliver results.
  • Experience in a comparable leadership role within a Trade focused environment 
  • A dynamic leader who demonstrates high levels of integrity, honesty, and personal accountability
  • Proven ability to manage multiple functions and deliver commercial outcomes
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving growth and achieving sales targets
  • Analytical and solutions-focused, skilled in identifying opportunities, driving initiatives and delivering results.
  • Strong knowledge of building materials and a solid understanding of construction processes 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple systems
  • Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is a must
