About the role
We’re seeking an experienced ICT Business Analyst with deep expertise in Payroll and Human Resources systems to support and enhance Fletcher Building’s core people and pay platforms.

This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Finance and ICT teams across multiple business units. You’ll help ensure our systems are compliant, scalable and practical for the realities of a large, operationally diverse organisation.

This is a hands on role suited to someone who understands the complexity of payroll and HR systems and enjoys translating business needs into clear, workable technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with HR and Payroll teams to understand requirements across the employee lifecycle
  • Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements for HRIS and Payroll platforms
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for ICT teams and external vendors
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, integrations and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Map current and future state processes, with a strong focus on payroll accuracy and compliance
  • Support testing activities including UAT, defect resolution and deployment readiness
  • Act as a trusted link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams

Systems exposure
Experience with one or more of the following is highly regarded:

  • Payroll systems - Chris21, iChris
  • HRIS platforms - Workday, SAP
  • Time & attendance and rostering systems - Kronos
  • Integrations between HR, Payroll, Finance and reporting tools

What we’re looking for


  • Proven experience as an ICT / IT Business Analyst, ideally within Payroll and HR systems
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards and EBAs
  • Experience working in complex, multi‑business or enterprise environments
  • Strong requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work comfortably with both technical teams and business users
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
