We're looking for an experienced Internal Communications Lead on a part time basis (3 or 4 days a week) based at our Tullamarine office with hybrid working, to shape and deliver a best-practice communications strategy that engages all employees, from frontline manufacturing teams through to senior leaders. This is a unique opportunity to influence culture, employee engagement and business performance across one of Australia's most recognised building products brands. The role aligns closely with Laminex's focus on keeping people informed, connected and aligned across the business. 

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll own the internal communications function end-to-end.

You'll develop and deliver a communication strategy that brings business priorities to life, ensures consistent messaging across the organisation, and creates meaningful engagement with employees wherever they work.

You'll also lead the evolution of our communication channels, including the rebuild and optimisation of our intranet, helping create a more connected and informed workforce.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Develop and execute Laminex's internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Create structured communication rhythms for executive leadership, corporate teams and frontline employees.
  • Translate complex business information into clear, practical and engaging messages.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of leadership communications, business updates and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with the General Manager to deliver regular business-wide communications and leadership messaging.
  • Plan and facilitate engaging Town Halls and company-wide communications events.
  • Support people and change communication initiatives in partnership with People & Performance.
  • Coach and advise senior leaders to improve communication effectiveness and impact.
  • Build strong relationships with site leaders to ensure messages are relevant and effectively embedded locally.
  • Develop and optimise communication channels, including leading the transformation of the Laminex intranet.
  • Improve communication reach and engagement across both office-based and frontline workforces.

What You'll Bring
  • Significant experience in internal communications, employee engagement or corporate communications.
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, coach and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working within complex, multi-site or operational environments.
  • Demonstrated success engaging frontline and site-based workforces.
  • Strong change communication capability.
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a high level of ownership and accountability.
