Description

As an Inwards Goods Team Member at PlaceMakers Westgate your day will be varied and hands-on, combining precision with exceptional customer service. You’ll be the go-to person for accurately receipting and managing incoming stock, ensuring our inventory is correct and our shelves stay full. You’ll support across our yard and drive thru operating a forklift, loading vehicles and help our valued customers get what they need, when they need it.

  • Accurately check and receipt all incoming goods using our internal systems and digital tools 
  • Monitor and drive cycle counts
  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies 
  • Assist & recommend products that suit the needs and preferences of every customer
  • Pick, assemble, and process orders and transactions 
  • Manage special orders, process product returns, repairs, and warranty claims 
  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards through general store housekeeping
  • Operate a Forklift 

Permanent full-time role based at PlaceMakers Westgate, offering 40 hours per week with a 6am start, Tuesday to Saturday.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you bring sharp attention to detail and take pride in getting deliveries checked in right the first time. You’re the kind of person who builds great relationships, keeps customers at the centre, and doesn’t hesitate to roll up your sleeves and jump on a forklift when things get busy. 

  • Previous experience in inventory or inwards goods 
  • Bring a strong work ethic, approachable nature and committed to delivering deliver great service to everyone you meet
  • Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is essential 
  • Forklift experience with F endorsement is desirable 
  • Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using technology and navigating multiple systems
  • Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is advantageous but not essential
