We have an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to make their career in demand planning with one of our high achieving businesses, Firth Masonry based in Hunua, Auckland

The Junior Demand Planner will assist the National Masonry Planning Manager in connecting the sales demand with the manufacturing capacity and delivering an optimal plan that maximises business returns.

It provides transparency on constraints, potential risks and opportunities through analysis, insights and reports to enable the business to derive sustainable value from its operations, in line with business strategy and requirements.

Ko tā mātou mahi | Our Role

  • Assist in developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales projections.
  • Analyse and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and potential demand fluctuations.
  • To support leading demand planning, capacity planning and network optimization across the masonry business.
  • Support the S&OP process by providing accurate and timely demand data and analysis.
  • Participate in regular S&OP meetings, offering insights and recommendations to align supply and demand.
  • To work collaboratively with the regional sales teams, marketing and production teams to establish accurate inputs to the S&OP process that enhances business results.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Produce presentations, reporting and business cases in conjunction with other Masonry team members using forecasting software and other tools

Ngā Pūmanawa | What You Will Bring

  • Experience with business analytics, operational performance management.
  • Experience working in manufacturing an advantage.
  • Sound business and financial understanding.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in MS-Excel, and MS PowerPoint to create, manage and manipulate data work with advanced functions such as macros, tables, queries, pivots, power pivots and presentations.
  • Knowledge of working with Power BI and Python is beneficial.
