The Role

Join our Residential and Development Finance team as a Junior Finance Analyst, where you'll deliver insightful analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making and drive business performance

This role is primarily based out of our head office in Penrose, but with the expectation to visit the wider team at our Auckland branches.

Your responsibilities will be to:
  • Apply strong financial reporting, accounting, and data analysis skills to deliver accurate insights and drive process improvements using financial tools and systems.
  • Analyse large datasets to extract actionable insights that support commercial strategies and align with business goals.
  • Interpret financial trends and performance data to recommend initiatives that enhance profitability and support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, communicates financial insights clearly, and support effective reporting.
  • Demonstrate proactive customer service, support team development, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, support governance, and assist with month-end close and audit processes.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance financial analysis and reporting processes, monitoring KPIs and implementing improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable narratives

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data, has an inquisitive mind, and thrives on turning complex problems into actionable insights
  • You will have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and have 1–2 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or analyst-based role, with a solid foundation in financial principles and business operations.
  • You bring a strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts, with experience analysing performance using key tools and metrics.
  • You’re confident working with senior stakeholders and have a proven ability to build strong, credible relationships across the business.
  • You’re highly proficient in Excel and financial modelling, and comfortable presenting insights using PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with Power BI would be advantageous 
  • Your detail-oriented, analytical, and always looking for ways to improve processes and deliver value through data.
