Description

Are you reliable, curious, and keen to build practical skills in a hands-on technical role? Firth is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Whangārei team — no industry experience needed. If you’re someone who enjoys learning on the job and takes pride in doing things well, this could be the start of a rewarding long-term career.

What You’ll Be Doing

Collecting samples and testing raw materials and finished concrete
Carrying out daily lab tests to ensure products meet strict NZ standards
Supporting plant audits and keeping accurate, well-organised records
Assisting the Lab Manager with lab operations and customer-focused testing
Working closely with production and technical teams across the site

What We’re Looking For

Physically fit and comfortable lifting up to 25kg
Holds a Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
A positive, motivated team player who enjoys learning new skills
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
Basic literacy and computer skills for reporting and record keeping
Comfortable with hands-on, practical work in a busy environment
