We have an exciting opportunity for a Leading Hand to join us at our Rockhampton manufacturing site.
Reporting to the Production Manager you will lead the production team to meet the requirements of safety, customer service and business objectives. You will work in an environment that promotes continuous improvement, professionalism and innovation to maximise profit and efficiency.
In this role, you will be accountable for your team’s ability to meet production goals and manage production consumables both replenishment and usage. You will conduct daily toolbox meeting ensuring all employees are informed about relevant issues in improving Delivery In Full On-Time performance.
You will identify production requirements for both the present shift and forward plan future upcoming days work required ensuring we can meet demand and targets, you will plan and deploy your staffing resources to fulfil required manufacturing quotas successfully.
Regular work hours for this role is from 6 am to 2.02 pm with some flexibility required depending on production demand.
To be successful in this role you will possess a strong customer-focused attitude with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills in a manufacturing or production line environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills and proficient in basic software applications
- Strong understanding of WHS with a pro-active approach to safety
- Experience in goal setting, KPI setting and managing the day to day work for your team
- Experience in logistics, loading trucks and chain of responsibility requirements
- Experience in using ERP software and production reporting
- A current High-Risk Forklift ticket
