About the Role

As a Leading Hand with Brian Perry Civil you will take charge of a small team delivering high-quality concrete and precast works. You’ll plan, set out, and lead daily activities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.  You will be based in Wellington region but may also be required to work in Manawatu-Whanganui, Nelson-Tasman, Marlborough, West Coast, Southland, Otago and Canterbury. This is a full time permanent role working 44-56 hours per week.

Hourly rate range $34-38 per hour depending on experience.

  • Lead and motivate a crew of 3–5 people in formwork and concrete construction
  • Organise daily tasks, materials, and plant to meet programme requirements
  • Carry out setout and ensure work aligns with design plans and specifications
  • Supervise formwork shutter building and precast operations
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with site leadership
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance on site


What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in formwork and concrete construction
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a precast facility and on site
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting design plans and specifications
  • Trade certification in concrete construction (advantageous)
  • Class 1 driver licence and W endorsement preferred
  • Strong commitment to health and safety and practical problem-solving
