Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Logistics Operator to join our team at Laminex, Hamilton branch. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the movement of materials and finished goods. You will work closely with our warehouse team, truck drivers, and other stakeholders to maintain an efficient and organized logistics process. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of materials and products, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, stack, and store goods in the warehouse.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to inventory, shipments, and deliveries.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and schedule shipments based on customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any logistics-related issues.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and optimize logistics operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous Forklift experience
  • Previous experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a warehouse environment.
