Dimond Structural manufactures steel purlin and composite flooring products for the construction industry. All our products are manufactured in New Zealand to the highest of standards, and we are proud to be part of the successful Fletcher Building Group.

We are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our talented team in Christchurch. You will join a small, close knit team, working on our morning shift 7am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday. This role is responsible for operating the machine that you will be trained and signed off on to produce products to meet the customer specs & services for Dimond Structural. It is essential that the position holder works with all business teams/members to maintain a high service culture. This will support our focus on delivering our service commitment to our customers and achieving our Production targets

About you:

You will be a mechanically minded person who has experience in or wants to work in our manufacturing environment
Show a high attention to detail as you will be recording materials and ensuring accuracy
You display that you are safety conscious, as you know working in a production environment means you need to work to high safety standards
Have a good standard of written communication is also required as well as basic mathematics
Be comfortable with lifting 25kgs
Gantry/forklift license is preferred but not necessary

Take pride in safely operating the machine & in products that pass through our facilities in Christchurch
Achieving daily/weekly/monthly targets
Work in a busy environment, with a focus on continuous improvement
Ensure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements. Compliance to Fletcher Building Policies and Procedures including but not limited to HSE
