About the Role:

As one of Australia’s leading manufacturers in the building & interiors industry, we require ongoing support and maintenance of electrical equipment. We are seeking an experienced and safety-oriented Maintenance Electrician at our Ballarat site in VIC.

Your primary focus will be to assist in the electrical maintenance of all the equipment supporting the manufacturing process. We’re looking for someone who maintains a high standard of work in adherence to Australian regulations and standards and works proactively as part of the operations team. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have strong skills in fault finding and programming PLCs.

This is a full-time, ongoing position and will be paid on a generous hourly rate in-line with our site EBA. This role may involve working on a rotating shift roster, or we are also open to a permanent dayshift.

Key Responsibilities:

Pro-actively demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and our PROTECT safety culture.
Understand and comply with the responsibilities, accountabilities, and authorities within the safety system.
Undertake Safety Behaviour Conversations (SBC) and identify hazards.
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
Report all injuries, incidents, hazards, and near misses.
Complete quality assurance testing and recording.
Efficiently diagnose and repair plant outages.

About You:

Appropriate Australian electrical trade qualification with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a maintenance electrician post-apprenticeship in a manufacturing environment (mandatory)
High-level fault finding, maintenance and programming of complex electrical systems, including Citect SCADA systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, and Variable Speed drive (highly regarded)
Senior First Aid certificate (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial environments.
Knowledge of AC/DC drives.
Working at heights (EWP) certification.
Commit to working within the Mex CMMS environment.
AutoCAD experience is desirable.
