Description

Higgins Waikato has secured a new long term Integrated Delivery Contract with NZTA for the region, and we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team.

Based at our Morrinsville Depot, you will support the planning, coordination and technical delivery of network maintenance works. You will help ensure programmes are clearly scoped, accurately recorded and delivered safely, on time and to the required standard.

Working closely with operations, supervisors, clients and delivery partners, you will help keep maintenance activities moving, identify issues early and ensure data, quality and commercial requirements are met.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning, coordinating and supporting delivery of maintenance works across the network 
  • Identifying network faults and prioritising maintenance responses 
  • Supporting programme planning, sequencing and progress tracking 
  • Managing documentation, quality records and as built information 
  • Assisting with cost tracking, subcontractor claims and approved variations 
  • Using digital systems to programme work, record data and support reporting

What You’ll Bring to the Role:
You will be comfortable balancing site activity with systems, data and stakeholder coordination.
You will bring:
  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline
  • Experience delivering civil or roading maintenance works
  • Working knowledge of RAMM, AWM and maintenance work categories
  • Confidence reviewing drawings, scopes, ITPs and quality documentation
  • Strong planning, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse teams
